One of the reasons why I like Christie so much is that its not just that he is a regular guy, but he is a really sharp regular guy who would be a ton (literally) of fun to sit at a bar with and watch a game. My sense is that you could bust his balls all day long about his weight and he would be coming back twice as hard on all of my failings, peccadillos, etc.

As I watch Mitt give this nomination away to a man whose ego knows no bounds, I am slightly heart-warmed with the prospect of an open convention where the adults like Christie, Daniels, Ryan, McDonald (VA), Jeb Bush or even Tim Pawlenty get nominated.

Add Jindal and Fortuño too the list.

Christie rocks...

And the voices above who are dreaming of an "open or brokered" Primary? Totally delusional.

The fashion amongst us is taking us right over a cliff, we are begging for a massive loss, and Obama must be smiling.

This isn't Romney's fault. Conservatism is all about personal responsibility, and the reality is the sound side is lost. The dysfunctional amongst us rampant, just as it was when it gave us the Delaware Disaster.

Those following the utterly foolish Erickson, Palin, Levin, Kristol, etc., are only enabling the opposite again. It isn't Conservatism, just pure juvenile sophistry, stuck on the superficial.

Those cheering Newt Gingrich wagging his finger at the camera like Bill Clinton, blaming the Media for his own failure are a symbol for the failure we see growing in the USA. They are turning Conservatism into a joke, a real comedy of errors.

And no, the effort to sabotage the proven Private Sector Entity named Romney, to empower a failed Beltway Celebrity Politician exploiting the Public Sector, is not going to give us Jindal, Christie, Ryan, McDonnell, Pawlenty, Daniels, or even Jeb Bush. They have no clue what they are asking for, or dreaming about.

If Gingrich wins in Florida, you can simply plan for a return of Obama to the White House for 4 years, perhaps even with Nancy Pelosi as Speaker in the House, maybe even with Reid running the Senate again. And no, there will be no blaming Romney, this is a symbol for the delusion involved.

We all will be responsible for the mess. And it is going to be very ugly, far worse then what we see here. Newt Gingrich just spent a few weeks running on the left side attacking Private Sector Enterprise. He is prostituting the entire concept of Conservatism for his own petty gain again. And he will run on Amnesty in Florida. It is a joke, sinking us all. But don't try to blame Romney, it is the voters. It is the mindless fashion amongst us selling a shell game in the name of Conservatism. The same which coddles religious bigotry against a Mormon, the same which reveals rampant jealousy over a wealthy success, the same which is stuck on regional bias with hatred for those who come from the North East.

It is embarrassing, and we only have ourselves to blame.

Way to channel your inner Fascist, Old Fan.

Yes, it would be great to hang with Christie at a bar during a Big Game, doing fat jokes.

Chin jokes alone would be good for an hour.
