In recognition of the day

A Facebook friend, in Dublin as I write this, just posted this portrait of Arthur Guinness (Wikipedia bio) to his Wall.

Arthur Guinness

Dude knew how to brew beer. I have already enjoyed two in the spirit of the day, and, of course, I have some minor heartbreak which I need to get over.

I felt compelled to have one today. So I did...and share the heartache.

That was not really heartbreak material, was it? I thought it was a great game against a much tougher team! Hey, I wanted Princeton to win too, but no one could possibly be disappointed in their performance. They requited themselves well beyond any reasonable expectation.

Who'd a thunk the freshman phenom (Brandon Knight), who Princeton had somehow blanked all game long, would suddenly be given the green light for the go ahead basket?

And sure . . . at that point I would have loved to see a long pass in bounds so someone could at least have had a shot at a two or three pointer. But there is no doubt about the fact it was a terrific game.

Happy Belated St. Patrick's Day...

The Tigers truly impressed.

And just this morning I received an email from the U-Store offering March madness gear.
