Stuck in my camera

I synced my camera for the first time in a few weeks, and out popped this picture of the morning after the big mid-Atlantic snow storm last week. Vandeventer Avenue, an hour after dawn, from my front stoop.

Dallas looks a lot like that right now ... two days away from the Super Bowl.

Enjoying a cocktail here in the Sonoran desert, watching the Princeton versus harvard game. One team leaves undefeated. Go Tigerhawks!

Those overhead cables really spoil the look of American streets. One would think that at least in the nicer looking streets, they would be underground.

Vanderventer Avenue is a very unusual name. We have such an avenue here in Port Washington, NY.

And we have one here in St. Louis, MO as well! Ours a major thoroughfare, though it runs through some "rough" areas .. though what part of the City Of St. Louis is not after dark?

My street is Vandeventer Avenue, no "r" in the second syllable. But, yes, unusual. Google turns up the St. Louis road and another one in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
