A reason to go to Vietnam

A friend of mine said the other day that she wanted to visit Vietnam. While I would also be interested in going there some day, there are many other places I would see first. But that was before I saw these spectacular pictures.

Son and daughter in law honeymooned there last year! In addition to the vistas and people, the most surprising thing--indeed shocking--according to my son, was that in Hanoi there remains a French cuisine influence. After the better part of a century of revolution, war and evolution, that is an amazing cultural stamp.

Amazing photos. From what little I know of geology and earth science, it makes perfect sense that such caves would exist there!

Ho Chi Mihn was a classically trained French chef before he moved on to politics.

My neighbors have traveled there twice on family biking trips, returning each time loving the country and people. You and your children might also like that sort of trip.
