Evening falls on Muscongus Bay

Just north of the village of Round Pond, Maine, on the shores of Muscongus Bay, the sun sets, and the moon rises to the east -- all away from the scorching heat of points well to the south.

The south end of Hog Island; the town of Friendship is to the north and east, hidden from view.

A half-gallon growler of Pemaquid Ale, sadly nearing emptiness.

Good moon rising.

escort, I am glad you enjoy your time in Maine. It's part of New England I never warmed up to. People there tend to be cold with friendly outsiders, the bugs are terrible, the light is unwelcoming, and it just never appealed much to me. Give me Cape Cod any time, despite the high cost and the overdevelopment, it's a cheerier place with great beaches.

Dan D, I can understand why Mainers don't like you, and that's okay, stay away and good riddance...more Maine for the rest of us.
