Spiked

If true, this would be the most egregious example yet of the extent to which mainstream media organizations were in the tank for the Obama campaign. Not only did they ignore his campaign's dodgy fundraising tactics until the last possible moment, but they seem to have actively suppressed a story that might have been a "game-changer."

No wonder Nancy Pelosi wants to bail out the newspapers.

And when people brought this up during the campaign, they were called paranoid racists...

Look Newspapers, broadcasters, CNN, etc. are NOT in the news business.

They are in the NEWS SUPPRESSION Business and propaganda business.

OF COURSE the NYT would spike ANY negative story about their God.

I mean, come on. They're like Pravda without the class.

Clearly, ACORN personnel have gone way over the line in any number of cases and have been indicted, convicted or plead out. Is it reasonable at this point in time to expect a system-wide investigation of ACORN? Seems improbable, I don't think the AG or Congress is that interested. The best that can be done now, probably, is a state by state audit in a good number of states.

Ironically, I disagree with the NYT in the first link: a story that broke in Oct. would have been too late, viewed skeptically and probably not "a game changer." Of course, had the Sept. financial and credit market meltdown not happened, who knows?

And of course, no newspapaer is under any obligation to run a particular story at a particular time -- there's no affirmative obligation, so it's not as if the NYT is in any kind of legal jeopardy for not running a story. The remarkable thing is that the paper can almost always avoid jeopardy when it does run a story that is either not fundamentally true or likely compromises national security.

When did the Bush drunk driving story break.

When did Dan Rather break the Bush National Guard story?

Not a game changer? Only because the media was in the tank for Obama.

Stories about news manipulation for propaganda purposes are why people aren't buying the NYT. May it go bust!!!

Despite the punishment being exacted on the value of the Sulzberger's patrimony right now, which I like to think reflects Americans voting with their dollars, polls are finding that lots of dodgy political ideas are being widely accepted these days by voters. Today, for example, the very interesting Investors Business Daily poll finds an almost incredible 70% of Americans between the ages of 18-24 and 60% of those between the ages of 25-44 agree with the proposition that government ought to control or even own "key industries", like health care or energy. The Obama ideological prescriptions are being given a big chance to work by the voters, even if it's pretty obvious at this point that in addition to the German PM and the President of the EU, the markets and business managers agree we're following a terrible economic path.

From Link.

Speaking of MSM being in the tank for Obama, our old friend Prosecutor Fitzgerald marches on ...

Tony Rezko is cooperating, at least about Gov Blago. As a reward, Fitz finally let Rezko out of the "hole " -- solitary in the Chicago MCC. A grand jury is supposed to act on Gov Blago charges as early as tomorrow. As we all know, Prosecutor Fitz went public with his Gov Blago charges back in December ... because Gov Blago was trying to sell the Obama Senate seat ... but Fitz would rather have waited on the grand jury.

Expect to hear how Rezko paid off Gov Blago with real estate commissions funneled through Blago's wife Patti, among other charges against Gov Blago. Rezko needed the help of high level state officials to pack the state boards he corrupted ... "Inside Man." Because he had appointment powers as governor, Gov Blago was an obvious suspect to be "Inside Man."

Prosecutor Fitz managed to convict Rezko by alluding to "Inside Man" at trial without naming who it was ... but in court proceedings it was always "Illinois state officials" ... plural ... implying there was more than one. While he was an Illinois State Senator, Obama had oversight responsibility for the Illinois Hospital Planning Board -- one of the two state bodies Rezko was convicted of corrupting -- and so was in a position to help Rezko corrupt that Board. This angle was never covered by MSM.

Only two politicians got campaign donations funneled from these Rezko scams ... Gov Blago and Obama ... this came out in the Rezko trial. Rezko paid for a third of Obama's Chicago mansion. Quid pro quo?

Rezko is on record as saying that Prosecutor Fitz was pressuring him in early 2008 to give information on Gov Blago and Obama ... thus, Obama was at least a target of Fitz's investigation at that stage. Rezko's statements were unsealed after Rezko was convicted in June 2008, but MSM ignored it.

Now Obama could have been slick enough to have played Rezko ... quid but no quo ... or just have been on Rezko's farm team in 2003-2006 -- who'd have guessed Obama would run for an even higher office. But Fitz ran a lot of wires, and had a mole in Rezko's office -- that's how they got Blago's wife. So Obama had exposure.

It amazes me still how MSM ignored this ... no story with the simple headline "Obama target of investigation."

Watch where the Stimulus money goes ... MSM helped put a guy in the White House who's about to preside over the biggest theft in history.
