Creative advertising

Goofy as it is, this video holiday greeting from venture capital firm First Round Capital and its many portfolio companies brought a smile to my face. It made me remember that, as Americans, it is officially our responsibility to be the optimists in a very pessimistic world. That's the role we play. Of course, you may differently...

Such an enjoyable start to the day!

Somehow, I just can't see this happening in Russia, or Venezuela, or Somalia, or Thailand, or Bangladesh, or Belarus, or the Northwest Frontier Provinces, or Zimbabwe or Greece, or Lebanon, or Syria or Iran.

America's optimism is fitting, natural, valuable and contagious. Anyway, it's a nice piece of work.

They are all dead. Look at the states they are in: PA, CA, WA, OR and Austin (a subset of TX). Look at the company names; they make nothing of value. All of them will be living under bridges in the next six months.

There is only one thing that adds value to the economy; building the tools that make more tools. There isn't going to be much additional capital left for such dancing frivolity soon.
