Public Service Announcement

Commercial it may be, but I would be remiss if I did not provide you with the link to Amazon's "Black Friday" deals, which are available now. Yes, we are all deleveraging, but if you have to buy presents, you might as well do it with the lowest cost and least hassle!

Personally I am giving the gift of dead President's and Patriot's portraits as engraved by the US Treasury Office this year. The interesting thing is that the new crisp ones now come in shades of purple, red and gold in addition to the traditional holiday green. My wimmen appreciate nothing so much as a nice crisp C note, that Ben Franklin has always been popular with the ladies.

This is a particularly good year to give the favorite gift of South Side politicians since it also celebrates the spirit of the new White House. Plus I am betting that there will be plenty of post-holiday sales at even better prices as major retailers endeavour to unload all the Chinese goods overstocked on when orders were placed six months ago. Not only that, but I figure we will need the additional stimulus badly by January.

I have been following this plan now for several years and have not had a gift returned yet.

I am also considering the purchase of Krugerands now for next Christmas given the anticipated inflationary impact on the US currency of the several trillions in stimuli now under consideration by the democratic congress.

Speaking of stimulus packages for Detroit, anybody else think that the Lions need more help than the Big 3?

Ok, the first half still isn't over and I'm thinking we need a bail out for Seattle too...
