Hating America

We do not spend a great deal of time on this blog deconstructing the moral cretinism of the American left, but sometimes it is hard to resist. LGF linked to this story in the San Mateo County Times, which rather matter-of-factly reported that sweet little 11-year old Hannah Stutz had won the kids division of an art contest sponsored by the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance.

I thought it would be interesting to look at the first prize winner of that contest, by Chuck Bowden. It is called "Sheeple Love Sadists."

The artist provided the 9/11 Truth Alliance with commentary that is illuminating, to say the least:
This drawing was done with pencil, ballpoint pen & markers. This work not only covers the concept that the crimes of 9-11-2001 were all inside jobs, but that these horrific mass hate crimes against humanity have been conducted, by a cabal of sadistic nazified men (mostly) here in the USA, ongoing for a very long time.... AND ..... that only through the aiding & abetting of these crimes against humanity by those sheeple people, who lift not word of finger one in dissent, will these atrocities be complicitly enabled to continue.....

But wait, there's more. Written on the whites of the flag:
YOU IN THE U.S.A. WHO CAN EXIST IN SILENCE WHILE A BUNCH OF DIM-WITTED-WAR-MONGERING MAD MEN GET SO BLATANTLY AWAY WITH MASS MURDER, ARE YOU WHO ARE…..SHEEPLE…..SHEEPLE WHO ARE FOUNDATIONALLY HAPPY CARPET FOR TYRANTS…..HOW MANY ASSASSINATIONS, WARS, STOLEN ELECTIONS & STOLEN FREEDOMS WILL IT TAKE TO AWAKEN YOUR TERROR-LOVIN’ MINDS? COUNTLESS UNKNOWN, UN-NAMED INNOCENT MEN, WOMEN, CHILDREN AND UNBORNS HAVE PERISHED BY THE COWARDLY LOGIC AND WISDOMLESS WEAPONARY OF THESE HIGH-TECH LOW-BROW BARBARIANS AND YOU THE SHEEPLE PRAISE EVERY SLAUGHTERRIFIC ATROCITY,….. YOUR COUNTRY IS RULED BY SADISTIC COWARDS WHO LIVE TO TERRORIZE, INTIMIDATE, THREATEN AND MAKE WAR UPON THE WEAK, THE MEEK, THE NATIVE AND ALL WHO DO NOT OFFER A CHALLENGE TO THEIR GLOBAL INSANITY…..THE WHITE HOUSE IS A TERRORIST SANCTUARY WHERE FASCIST CHICKENHAWKS ORCHESTRATE WAR UPON EARTH & FREEDOMS AND ONLY WITH THE COMPLICITORY SILENCE OF YOU WHO ARE THE SHEEPLE HERE IN THE U.S.A. WILL THIS BLOOD BATH UPON ALL THAT IS DECENT CONTINUE…..WHO CARES ANYWAY IF THIS BEAUTIFUL CHILD I DRAW DIES A MURDEROUS DEATH BY THE IRON WILL OF IRON-HEADED NAZI FUX IN D.C…..THEM GOOD OL’ FASHIONED FASCIST GANGSTERS HAVE GOT YOUR APATHETIC ASSES FEELIN’ ALL COMFY, YOUR SHEEPLE DREAMS OF EMPIRE ARE EVER SO SAFE & SERENE AS LONG AS SILENCE RULES SUPREME…..INALIENABLE FREEDOMS,…..WHO NEEDS’EM WHEN WE’RE ALL EVER SO STAR-SPANGLY SECURE IN OUR COZY DELUSIONS, THANK GOD FOR DARWIN PUTTING US SHEEPLE AT THE FOREFRONT OF THAT EVOLUTIONARY CURVE!

On Bush's shirt:
Any Militaristic Government which can murder 3,000 of it’s own citizen’s in cold blood, as the Bush Regime of Terror did in N.Y.C. on 9-11-2001, could then be looked upon as Criminally Insane enough to use a Nuclear Generated Tsunami as a Weapon of Choice.

Don't believe me?

Go here for the complete annotation (including the words radiating out from the swastika), including close-up shots so that you do not miss a single hate-filled word.

One can only wonder whether this is the same group that has latched on to Cindy Sheehan's publicity machine.

Forgive me for casting aspersions, but the phallic imagery on that is enough that maybe the family of the 11-yr-old girl artist should be investigated for child abuse.

By Blogger Gordon Smith, at Tue Aug 30, 09:00:00 AM:

That is one pissed off 11-year old.

Let's be fair though, this picture and the judges who deemed it #1 are not representative of "The Left". They are representative of the conspiracy theory crowd, and there's plenty of that population scattered all over the political spectrum (Wait! Is that a black helicopter overhead?).

Living in paranoia and blind anger is terrible for those engulfed in it, but let's not pretend that this preadolescent artwork has anything to do with the vast majority of the left's politics.

By Blogger cakreiz, at Tue Aug 30, 09:14:00 AM:

I'm afraid... Screwy's making sense to me. This isn't representative of mainstream Democrats.

An 11-year old did that, my left nut. More like some 11-year old's psycho mommy and daddy.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at Tue Aug 30, 01:25:00 PM:

IF YOU ALL READ YOU WOULD KNOW THAT THE 11 YEAR OLD DIDN'T DO THIS. THE 11 YEAR OLD WON THE KIDS CONTEST. THIS WORK IS BY CHUCK WHO WON THE OPEN CONTEST. READ FIRST. WRITE SECOND.

By Blogger Catchy Pseudonym, at Tue Aug 30, 02:53:00 PM:

It makes a mighty fine screensaver.

By Blogger Cardinalpark, at Tue Aug 30, 03:44:00 PM:

While SH makes a fair point that this crazy drawing cannot reflect mainstream left opinion, as in all spectrums, elements of it are embedded in mainstream left dialog. Just as the mainstream conservative crowd is saddled with Buchanan-esque baggage, so is the left saddled with Dean. And it gets loonier even to the left and right of those characters. The intriguing and important question is where does the middle 52% or so lie in this country? And can it hold in consistently rational places. By rational, I don't mean we all agree with it. It simply means pursuing the interests of America in good faith, and with a proper sense of American history --To me, Reagan, Bush I, Bush II, Clinton, even Gore fell within that rational center. Not so Dean, Kerry. Buchanan.

What a disastrous drawing...

By Blogger Cardinalpark, at Tue Aug 30, 03:55:00 PM:

One other query on this Hating America stuff. If they hate America, what do they like?

By Blogger Catchy Pseudonym, at Tue Aug 30, 04:47:00 PM:

I think they like walks in the park, cuddling by a fire, New York in the moonlight, and roasting Smores by the soft warm light of a burning American flag... ummm smores!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at Tue Aug 30, 05:47:00 PM:

Take a look at the artwork of the 11 year old girl. Those of you with children, look closely. I have two, now young adults, and we have admired their art work from first doodles through high school.

This work is characterized by a stick drawings and has minimal embellishment. The figures are solid-colored with no context between individual elements. That is, they are separate items, not placed in a overall view. All these characteristics are usually present in 5-6 year-old artwork and disappear by the third grade.

Just take a walk down the halls of your local primary school on "parent's night". You will see that the "action picture" contained within a box is a popular motif in male drawings. You will also see shading and bordering in fifth grade artwork, where the entire work presents a more unified view.

I believe that this is the work of an adult, probably childless, that is attempting, poorly, to present itself as the work of a fifth grader.

What do you think?

By Blogger Josh, at Tue Aug 30, 06:12:00 PM:

The men in the black helicopters have surely taken away this "Chuck" character by now.

After looking at the 11 year olds picture, I think they must have certainly had help from mom and mom, or she is seriously gifted. Also, the message didn't seem to be as overtly paranoid and delusional as the others. This is hers:

These children brainwashed by hate would seem to be perfect foils for Moslem conversion. Can you just see these tykes with cute explosive vests giving their all to destroy the evil empiralists the their chickenhawk followers?

Geez, what does one have to do to be guilty of a hate crime?

The Star of David caught my attention. Another anti-semitic leftist? Why are there so many of them?

By Blogger cakreiz, at Wed Aug 31, 08:05:00 AM:

And excellent question, geoffrey, one that puzzles me too. Same with feminists who support Islam- go figure. Not exactly models of consistency except for that old saw: the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Naturally, most ME countries hate America- so there's a warm commonality there.

By Blogger callmemickey, at Wed Aug 31, 11:23:00 AM:

remember how "all the jews didn't show up to work on 9/11" and how "they set it up"... ughhh i hate mindless leftist babble

By Blogger Catchy Pseudonym, at Wed Aug 31, 11:39:00 AM:

Hmm... being a member of the left I must have missed that memo. I think you're taking the mindless dribble of the extremist left and applying it to us all. If you want, I can go out and hunt down some right-wing dribble and apply it to all you guys if you want. It shouldn't take all that long to find.

By Blogger cakreiz, at Wed Aug 31, 12:58:00 PM:

Fair 'nuff, dude. And you're right- it doesn't take long to hunt down mindless right-wing dribble. Let's start the bidding with this: "As Iraqis stand up, Americans will stand down." In 1971, that was called Vietnamization. We're now official dependent upon Iraqi military competence. Argh.

By Blogger geoffrobinson, at Wed Aug 31, 01:06:00 PM:

Catchy, it's more of a growing tide I'm noticing on the left in the last 5 years or so. Not all of the left by any means. But it's weird and growing.

By Blogger Catchy Pseudonym, at Wed Aug 31, 01:54:00 PM:

There are definitely some strange folks on this side of the fence. I'm not sure it's growing more than just the people doing it in the past are now doing it louder. Plus with the internet, crazy people (on both sides of the fence) can now be freaks for the whole world to see instantaneously. So don't worry, we may not see eye to eye, but us on the left aren't all turning into nut cases... well not anymore than we already were.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at Wed Aug 31, 07:08:00 PM:

Whoa! But for a few thousand votes in Ohio, one of their own would be POTUS.

LSD, man?

By Blogger Ronnie Schreiber, at Wed Aug 31, 07:53:00 PM:

Catchy Pseudonym, just because the media and the left mocked "Vietnamization" doesn't mean that it was a failure. If you look at the history, Vietnamization was a military success.

The fact is that US troops were drawn down quickly in Vietnam and by 1973 there were not a whole lot of American troops left there. As the burdon of fighting shifted to the ARVN, South Vietnamese soldiers proved to be at least adequate to the task. They were able to keep the North at bay. It was only when the US Senate cowardly voted to end military aid and air cover to the South that the North invaded with infantry and armor, eventually conquering the South.

Didn't Vietnemization fail b/c Congress pulled the plug in 73? And wasn't Ted Kennedy a main force behing that? At least that's what I've heard.

This 'artist' is a victim of child abuse.

Getting this child away from these demented parents, and into a normal, rational home is the only solution, if it's not already too late...

Catchy Pseudonym,
Re: your 11:39AM post

I know this is snarky, but you say it's just the extremist left that thinks like this, and these views are not representative of the left as a whole. Well... it's your house, why don't you clean it? Start getting the sane lefties (and yes, there are lots of sane lefties vs. the nuts like the tool who drew this picture) to band together and re-create a coherent, strong democratic party. As a republican, I would welcome the re-emergence of a real political adversary.

Excellent point. I too have moon-bat friends (yes friends) the only time they pi$$ me off is when the start with the parrot stuff .... SQWAAAUK .... "Bush Lied". Most have never heard the words spoken by many democrats about Iraq and WMD ... WAY BEFORE BUSH WAS EVEN NOMINATED! Mindless drivel repeated over and over.
This answers Adolfo's post too. Don't you know that Bush's daddy was the Veep and he got him the job of mind control over all the freaks at that point in time.
Oops! guess I should'nt jest ... some moonbat will pick up on it and start repeating it.

"Just as the mainstream conservative crowd is saddled with Buchanan-esque baggage, so is the left saddled with Dean."

Yes, but...Buchanan is a whacko-at-large (who was forced to apologize, and whose views were denounced by Republicans), who holds no position whatever in the Republican Party, whereas Dean is ...uh...let's see...chairman of the Democratic National Committee, and therefore - by definition - a spokesman for the party.

Not quite the same thing, is it?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at Wed Aug 31, 10:31:00 PM:

Uh, this artwork wasn't done by the 11-year-old, as some above comments are claiming. This was the first-prize winner in the contest that the 11-year-old also won a prize in.

I like the anti-Semitic imagery. And the demented ranting about "cabals," "Nazis," and all that jazz. It's nice when the insanity is right there in the open.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at Wed Aug 31, 11:46:00 PM:

One thing about this Chuck Bowden character - the sheer volume of obsessive hate that is *boiling* inside this person must be tremendous ... for him to expend all the energy need to create such a pus-filled piece of excrement ..... it's a fantastic, hideous thing .... obviously the product of a hideous, tortured soul. I pity him.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at Thu Sep 01, 01:19:00 AM:

no. this is quite representative of the mainstream left.

howard dean's endorsement of "bush did it" conspiracy theories aside, liberals march with honest to god stalinists. the "antiwar" movement is run by two major groups: the stalinists of the wwp, and the pro-insurgency, pro-castro psychos of code pink.

anything a mainstream liberal has to say about the war today can be read two weeks earlier in the socialist worker.

someone else was wondering what the artist looks like. i guarantee that they wear fashionable frames, carry a messenger bag and work an it job.

no. this is the same left we've had all along. the left that says that reagan created the aids epidemic. the same left that says that bush caused the tsunami disaster and katrina. the same left that tried to throw an election by reporting fake documents as real, organized a half-million dollar hate march outside the rnc and now float conspiracies that bush stole the election by hacking voting machines.

"Plus with the internet, crazy people (on both sides of the fence) can now be freaks for the whole world to see instantaneously."

all of the freaks are on your side of the fence.

"So don't worry, we may not see eye to eye, but us on the left aren't all turning into nut cases... well not anymore than we already were."

I'm sorry so let me get this straight. The crazy loons on the right or okay because they don't speak for the Republicans, yet the crazy loons on the left are bad because they do speak for the Democrats. You people are have quite a double standard going on. I hink more apt, you people are the crazy-ass loons on the right yourself.

Clean house? You need to take a good look at the nasty mung buildup in corner of yor own house before you start telling me what I need to do with mine.

Just the fact that you're arguing with my statement shows to me that you're a member of the bat-ass crazy section of the the right who tends to claim itself as sane and speak for the Republicans.

that's not to say that all leftists are nuts enough to actually believe the stuff. no, a full half of them know its horseshit, but understand the power of "the big lie".

so, that's the left: half nuts and half liars.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at Thu Sep 01, 10:39:00 AM:

Catchy, you're way off base re: your last post.

The loonies of the left are the establishment of the left. Look at the slanted reportage of the NYT (for the last 60 years, holocaust denial onward), look at CBS vis. the ANG fake-but-accurate documents - complete with DNC endorsement, look at Ward Churchill's credentials (yup, a tenured professor with a doctorate of leftist drivel), look at anything DNC chairman Dean says, look at the official stamp of approval every socialist election win gets from Dhimmy Carter - almost every one subject to censure in the UN, look at your candidate for president and drop your heads in shame at his lies.

The official looniness of the left goes on, and on, and on; if the poster contest of topic is any indication, the loons start poppin' up just across the centre aisle on the left-right spectrum.

Find me an official Republican looney not marginalized in the right. Find me a newspaperman on the right who makes stories of whole cloth. Find me the history that proves Republican leaders have made the wrong decisions with the right information. I'd love to hear facts, not the shouted lies you bring to the arguement.

Lefties=Asshats. Every time.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at Thu Sep 01, 10:45:00 AM:

I think the winner (and the sponsors and judges of the event) is merely representative of mainstream Democratic Party thinking.

Don't believe me? Look at the DNC Chariman! How about Reid, Kennedy, and Schumer? How about Pelosi, Biden and Cucinich? These are the leaders of their Party and have voiced the same thoughts is slightly less dramatic profanity.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at Thu Sep 01, 10:49:00 AM:

in fact he's pushing the "katrina is bush's fault" meme over on his blog.

Yoy've got to be kidding, the Republicans gain their power from the wack-job ultra-conservative christians. Or maybe your one of them, so they don't look so crazy to you.

"Find me a newspaperman on the right who makes stories of whole cloth. Find me the history that proves Republican leaders have made the wrong decisions with the right information. Look at the Iraq war, Terry Shiavo, the environment... I've heard the most asinin things coming from your party. I don't even know where to start...

You're choice of sides in this arguement tell me that you yourselves are the ass-crazy members of your party, so of course you're going to have the illogical view that all Democrats are wrong and evil. It's a pointless arguement with you nimrods. Luckily I know enough Republicans to see that you are the extremist of your party and that you have been marginalized and therefore your pathetically lame opinion means sheet.

So I stand at the steps of the asylum yelling, "I WASN"T CRAZY UNTIL I TRIED TO REASON WITH UNREASONABLE PEOPLE!"

By Anonymous Anonymous, at Thu Sep 01, 12:06:00 PM:

well, there's no way possible you could attempt to demonstrate that all republicans are nuts. the material simply isn't there.

what you did do is attempt to exculpate the left from its nearly unanimous and intitutionally ratified derangement on all matters by pretending that the "bush stole the sun" psychosis a) is marginal on the left (it isn't) and, b) is proportional to to similar views on the right (which don't in reality exist).

i would like to not look at the left and have to avert my eyes from the expansive ethical and intellectual wreckage there. but when it is suggested that, if you are genuinely concerned with the health of your party, you should do something about it, you react defensively. this demonstrates that you are not concerned about the twisted goulishness that has come to define the left, but rather that others might notice it, recognize it and speak out about it in clear terms.

Why do the progressives (what happened to all the liberals, anyhow?) always resort to ad hominum attacks when people disagree with them?

Never anything of substance - it's always just charges that we're stupid, stupid, stupid, and that we have crazies on our side too.

Well, yes, we do have crazies on our side. The difference is that we denounce them and make sure that people know they don't speak for us.

However, do the extreme positions of Howard Dean represent the Democrats? Does Cindy Sheehan? Does MoveOn.org? I don't hear anyone saying they don't...

By Anonymous Anonymous, at Thu Sep 01, 01:01:00 PM:

yes. go talk about how bush created katrina to take the media attention away from cindy sheehan with other members of "the reality-based community". LOL!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at Thu Sep 01, 01:47:00 PM:

Members of the mainstream left protest that the lunatic left as represented by Chuckie's little art work here do NOT represent what they believe in. Yes, that is true for specific details.

However, the mainstream left absolutely share the same moral logic, symbols and lexicon of the insane left. In fact, most of the sane left's iconography originated on the lunatic fringe only to find its way into the mainstream left’s dialog in a sanitized formed. Although since 9/11 we have seen less and less sanitizing of the moonbat’s rants before incorporation into the mainstream’s agenda, coinciding with worsening election results for the left.

Take Sheehanoia, for example. Cindy started out as a very sympathetic character to most Americans and could have been a very effective tool of the mainstream left's anti-war propaganda, especially with the collaboration of the friendly MSM. But, the lunatic left corrupted Cindy's cognitive facilities so badly that she spouts a moral logic so hateful and twisted that only a Michael Moore wannabe could approve. What started out as a serious threat to the Bush government’s Iraq policy was effectively neutralized by incorporating moonbat delusional logic and hate speech into Cindy’s talking points.

Ironically, Cindy’s insane leftist rhetoric is like a benediction, relieving most fair-minded Americans of any moral duty to revisit the issue of whether the war is worth it or not.

The mainstream left invited the moonbats, to not only share their political tent, but allowed them to define the language and tone of the debate. This is not the way to become an effective political force at least in a free democracy of reasonable well-informed citizens. But then many of us have suspected for sometime now that the left secretly would welcome and perhaps even flourish in some manner of police state.

I see bizarre theories, twisted logic... crap really. American-hating, jew-hating... I think I can find a few Jew-hating comments from your right-wing comrades out in the world who "don't speak for you" yet get invited to the Bush table behind closed doors. You are an extremist, you do not speak for the Repblicans (thank god).

And you don't speak for the Democrats. All your comments are you trying to tell me how I think, what I think and why I think it. There's no facts. Yes, Cindy Sheehan is a person, she's against the war, she's vocal about, how can you make the logical jump to... The Liberals Are Controlling her. Let me see the facts on how the Liberals are controlling her brain. You're mindless blah blah blah does not equal facts.

Does Howard Dean speak for the Democrat party?... Yes he does, though he not everyone in the party agrees with him. Does Cindy Sheehan... No. Does MoveOn.org No.

Does Rush Limbaugh speak for the Republican party? Pat Robertson? He's brought on quite a lot on ol' Fox News. Jerry Falwell? How about the complete blantant lies of Swiftboat vets?

I resort to insulting you because what else is there to do with such an obviously irrational rabid Liberal hater. Logic fails, reason fails you, you're so wrap up in your hate, it spills out in your words. Liberals aren't your problem, you are your problem. I hope you manage to work though whatever it is your dealing with, at least before you snap and I read about you on the news.

I believe that one of the yellow bands around the swastika says Oklahoma City. How exactly did Bush bomb OKC, back in 1995?

From 1989 to 1994 Bush was managing partner of the Texas Rangers, whose AAA affiliate is in Oklahoma City. Coincidence? I think not.

Does Rush Limbaugh speak for the Republican party?

No.

Pat Robertson? He's brought on quite a lot on ol' Fox News.

Nope. You'll notice he's not kowtowed to like, say, race-baiters Sharpton and Jackson, despite filling a similar role as a failed candidate in the primaries.

Jerry Falwell?

Nope.

You might also ask yourself why the prototypical "idiotarians" on the right aren't in political offices, while those on the left ARE. It says something about the two parties, IMHO.

How about the complete blantant lies of Swiftboat vets?

What lies? Kerry had to admit he was never in Cambodia, among other lies he'd told over the years. The only outstanding issues could be answered by Kerry's records, which he has never let anyone but lapdogs see.

I wonder why that could be.

Let me see the facts on how the Liberals are controlling her brain.

Just look at the comments she makes. "This country is not worth dying for" -- straight out of the far-left textbooks. Ask yourself why the leftist press santizes her remarks, carefully editing out the Judenhass and other lunacy.

I resort to insulting you because what else is there to do with such an obviously irrational rabid Liberal hater.

Unlike the love you have for conservatives, eh?

You want evidence of how insane the left has become? Turn on the TV, open the newspapers. The campaign to blame the president for a hurricane is a prime example -- it's as if the left thinks the office of the president confers a godhead, making that person responsible for all events that occur during their term.

Go take a look at Dean, at the people who surround him.

Go look at Cynthia McKinney. She was briefly -- BRIEFLY -- kicked from the Democrat party, then welcomed back with open arms. It's not that she changed her views or rhetoric, but that her hatred and bile never really wrote her out of the ranks of the "honorable" among the Democrats.

Go look at Ted Kennedy.

Go look at Robert Byrd.
