Scissors cuts rock
It was actually happening. The nerd was kissing the homecoming queen. Paper was beating scissors; scissors were beating rock. Charlie Brown was kicking the football. The Red Sox were beating the Yankees for the American League pennant.

New York (AP) - Taking a page out of the Democrat's playbook, George Steinbrenner has hired 10,000 lawyers to descend upon 245 Park Avenue in New York in an attempt to overturn the American League Championship Series results.
Steinbrenner seized upon the question chanted by Boston fans during the playoffs: "Why not us?" Steinbrenner said, "If the Democrats in 2000 could attempt a coup on the highest office in the land, if John Kerry is pre-emptively attempting to sue his way into the White House, why can't I sue my way into the World Series?"
